I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

I've finished Wicked Lovely and I'm now on Ink Exchange as soon as I pick it up this week. I really loved Wicked Lovely. It's a really great YA series by Melissa Marr.

Rule #3: Don’t stare at invisible faeries. Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty—especially if they learn of her Sight—and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens.

Rule #2: Don’t speak to invisible faeries. Now faeries are stalking her. One of them, Keenan, who is equal parts terrifying and alluring, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer.

Rule #1: Don’t ever attract their attention. But it’s too late. Keenan is the Summer King who has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost—regardless of her plans or desires.

Suddenly none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything. Fairy intrigue, mortal love, and the clash of ancient rules and modern expectations swirl together in this 21st century fairy tale.

My thoughts:
Wicked Lovely does not disappoint. It is the story of Aislinn, a teenage girl who can see faeries. Her grandmother had taught her not to pay attention to faeries and do not let them know you see them. Because if you let them know it won't be good! Faeries in this story are not the pure kind ones we are used to, they are in fact the opposite. Not all are scary and ugly but the one that are beautiful are usually even more terrifyingly evil! She had lived her whole life by her grandmothers rule and never took notice in the fairies until now. Not by choice though. Keenan, the summar price has taken interest in Aislinn to be his queen. Keenan is unearthly beautiful but her terrifies Aislinn. The only place she feels safe is at Seth's iron covered house(train car). Seth is her best friend and he's an amazing character. He truly cares for Aislinn, not to mention he's a cool great looking guy.
This book was a fun well-paced read that keep me going. I wasn't bored once during this book and I am really looking forward to Ink Exchange. I recommend this to all YA fans and fans of the Fairy realm books! :)
