Derik's Bane by MaryJanice Davidson

Derik's Bane (Berkley Sensation) Derik's Bane by MaryJanice Davidson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Synopsis:
Derik's a werewolf with alpha issues--and a body to die for. Sara is the personification of unspeakable evil--and smells like roses. Now if they could just stop drooling over each other long enough to save the world.

My thoughts:

I really enjoyed this book. Maryjanice Davidson is an amazing writer. I love how all her stories have a seriousness with comedy. I never read a book by MJD that I never liked. This is the 3rd book in the Wyndham Werewolf series and it follows the story of Derik and Sara. It is also the longest of the series. Most of her books are not that long, and that's the only thing I wish different. I really took to this series, the werewolves and their love lives always have interesting, fast plots and steamy scenes. I liked Derik's personality and alpha dominance. Derik and Michael are my favorite of the series. Michael is the Alpha of the pack but Derik finds himself in a dilemma when he finds himself not wanting to bare his neck for his alpha anymore. He loves Michael but he needs to fix his life and that can't happen around his pack. While this is happening there is a bigger problem at hand, Sara is doomed to destroy the world and Derik is sent out to take care of her.
I highly recommend this series to fans of MJD and fans of the werewolf genre. I look forward to more!
