Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Ok, so it's a new year and so far the books released were gold! Some authors who've already released books this year are Carrie Vaughn, Adrian Phoenix, Karen Chance, Faith Hunter, etc. I'm looking forward to so many new releases this year.

I had a plan of picking the top 10 books of 2009, but decided that, that would be wayyy to hard to choose. So, I'm finally deciding on The Top 25 Books Of 2009! Okay, I know you may think I'm going easy on myself with 25.. but really with all the books I've read (around 200 this year alone) it was SUPER hard and I know I missed many I wish I could have chosen. But I guess I have to make a somewhat challenging limit. So, 25 it is!

(These are in no particular order. I'd never have this list done if I had to choose an order for my favorites. They are all amazing.)

1. White Witch, Black Curse by Kim Harrison
2. Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning
3. Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost
4. Blood Promise by Richelle Mead
5. Succubus Heat by Richelle Mead
6. Bound to Shadows by Keri Arthur
7. Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs
8. Skin Trade by Laurell K Hamilton
9. Dead if I Do by Tate Hallaway
10. Skinwalker by Faith Hunter
11. Red-Headed Stepchild by Jaye Wells
12. Dawnbreaker by Jocelynn Drake
13. Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris
14. Kitty Raises Hell by Carrie Vaughn
15. Hunting Memories by Barb Hendee
16. Speak of the Devil by Jenna Black
17. Flesh Circus by Lilith Saintcrow
18. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
19. Dark Time by Dakota Banks
20. Witchcraft by Caitlin Kittredge
21. Kiss of Life by Daniel Waters
22. Bella Mia by Mandy M. Roth
23. Undead and Unwelcome by MaryJanice Davidsoon
24. Covet by J.R Ward
25. Mona Lisa Darkening by SUNNY

NOW, it's not to say that I'd have more on here of my favorite authors..but I haven't read a few of the books that I've hoped to Bite Marks by Jennifer Rardin, Demon Bound by Caitlin Kittredge, Frostbitten by Kelly Armstrong, Adrian Phoenix, etc. Also, Rachel Caine is a very close author I wanted to add to that list..Ah! I hate missing my favorites. that was super hard. BUT, I stick by my choices. :)

Do you agree with my choices? Which would you change or add?

I LOVE that series. I wish our store had Bite Marks. For some reason we didn't have it shipped there.. so I kept on wanting to order it in and keep on forgetting. I will not forget this week. I've been dying to read it. :)
