Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Friday's Favorite: Supernatural of the Week

Supernatural of the Week:

I love supernatural characters. Vampires, Werewolves, Shape Shifters, Mages, Witches etc.
So, I thought it would be fun to pick a favorite each week and do a post on them.

Friday's Favorite this week is:

Jean Claude from Laurell K. Hamilton's, Anita Blake Series.

Why am I picking him?
Why not? He was my favorite in the Anita Blake series since the start. I love his character and hope to see more of him in the next book(Bullet). The last few books have appearances, but not as much as I'd like. *crosses fingers* for more Jean Claude.

Jean-Claude
Also Known As:
Master of the City of St. Louis, Sourdre de Sang
First Seen in:
Guilty Pleasures
Description:
Midnight blue eyes, almost black, perfect as the midnight sky; stands close to 6 ft, roughly 5'11"; long softly curling black hair; pale skin of alabaster with a lean bare chest with a burn scar of a cross. His voice is soft and seductive.
-He owns several of the popular night clubs in town, including Guilty Pleasures and Danse Macabre.

His pet name for Anita - Ma petite

"A rich melodious voice floated around us...The voice belonged to Jean-Claude, club owner and master vampire. He looked like a vampire was supposed to look. Softly curling hair tangled with the high white lace of an antique shirt. Lace spilled over pale, long-fingered hands. The shirt hung open, giving a glimpse of lean bare chest framed by more frothy lace. Most men couldn't have worn a shirt like that...made it seem utterly masculine." - Guilty Pleasures, pages 11-12

"He was tall and slender, though not as tall as Richard...black hair spilled over his shoulders, inches longer than when I (Anita) first met him." - The Killing Dance, page 124

Laurell K. Hamilton
"(...) I knew from the moment I heard you, the moment I saw the gun and realized that this lovely, petit woman was the executioner, that you would never die waiting for me to save you - that you would save yourself.
-Jean-Claude"
