Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Friday's Favorite: Supernatural of the Week (4)

Friday's Favorite! - Supernatural of the week!

This week I am in Karen chance mode. So, naturally I would want to choose my favorite men of the series. I would love to pick all three of my favorites from the series, but I can only pick one... but my favorites of this series are Pritkin, Mircea & Louis-Cesare They are amazing. All three are in my top favorite men category from all books! Karen, really knows how to write `em!

Pritkin- My Favorite of the series.

Sure, he's not the most handsome man alive, but his personality alone would make a woman fall in love. He has a short temper, always says whats on him mind.. but I still love him. You can tell that behind all that hardness, he has a soft spot, especially for Cassandra. He hated her at first, wanted to kill her..I'm glad that's in the past, because I'm routing for them. I can tell he's half in love with her, even if he doesn't know it yet. I want book 6 to be out NOW. I don't mind waiting, because I know it's going to be amazing.

I found this description of Pritkin from Karen Chance online..
"Karen: John Pritkin is part of the war mage corps, the body charged with maintaining the peace in the supernatural world. Most of the time, the corps acts like a police force, running down those who break magical laws and bringing them for trial. But the recent war in the supernatural community has forced them to also act as an army, and Pritkin is at the forefront of the fight. He has the unenviable task of trying to keep Cassandra Palmer, the chief seer of the supernatural world, alive when the list people who want her dead seems to grow every day.

Protecting Cassie causes Pritkin frequent nightmares, but the most dangerous aspect of their relationship may be the growing attraction between them. Cassie is claimed by a powerful master vampire, Mircea, who can be utterly ruthless when protecting what he views as his. Pritkin also has compelling reasons of his own for avoiding intimacy. Yet temptation can be so hard to resist…"

"Pritkin kissed like he did everything else, straightforward, accepting no prisoners and with an intensity that left me breathless. It was hot and hard and desperate, like he was starving for it, and I opened my mouth and took it, because, God."
— Cassandra (Embrace the Night)

"No, Miss Palmer. What is bizarre is that I currently have a vagina."
— Pritkin (Curse the Dawn)

"I wasn't entirely sure, but a polite John Pritkin might be a sign of the apocalypse."
— Cassandra (Embrace the Night)

"And I just couldn't take it anymore. I closed the distance between us, slammed him back against the chair and kissed him, holding his head still with both my hands buried in that stupid, stupid hair. I half expected more resistance, because Pritkin had never met an argument he didn't like. So it was a shock when he ran his hands down my sides, cupped my hips and slid us both to the floor.
"I'm going straight to hell for this," he muttered.
"At least you'll know a lot of people," I said breathlessly. "
— Cassandra & Pritkin (Curse the Dawn)
