Review: Wait For Dusk by Jocelynn Drake

Wait for Dusk (Dark Days, #5)Wait for Dusk by Jocelynn Drake

My Rating:
-Frigging Amazing! Why did it have to end?!

There is no sanctuary in the night . . .
Feared even by her own kind for her mastery of fire, the nightwalker Mira is summoned by the coven to take her rightful place as Elder. But with this honor comes grave responsibility—a commitment to the annihilation of the unleashed Naturi. For now the foul creatures walk the earth—and neither vampire nor human will survive their horrific onslaught.

A tide of blood is sweeping relentlessly across the European continent, as Mira is dispatched to Budapest for the most devastating test yet of her astonishing powers—and falls into a well-laid trap. With the dark secrets that haunt her growing darker by the hour, she must confront the terrible truth of her past and protect her fragile sanity in the face of unanticipated treachery—a betrayal by her trusted ally, her beloved enemy, the vampire slayer Danaus.

My Thoughts:
Wait For Dusk is the fifth Dark Days novel by Jocelynn Drake. I've been addicted to this series from book one, begging for each new release. This book was no different. I could not wait to read this book, especially considering how Pray for Dawn ended. Can you say major cliff hanger? So I picked up this book last night, and finished it a few hours later. I could not sleep until I knew how it ended!

This time, we're back to Mira's point of view. She's not an Elder and she's begging to burn something. Being the "fire starter" it's no surprise, and I love it. Pray for Dawn left off when Gaizka snatched Mira. Now she's being beaten by who she thinks is Gaizka, who turns out not to be Gaizka at all. The being beating her, is way worse, with violet eyes and Red hair, and he's only the beginning of her trouble. He wants something from her, and he's determined to get it.

If that's not bad enough, She's practically declared war on one of the Elders and while on a visit to get rid of the Naturi with Danaus, Stefan and Valerio, she finds out more want her head than she first thought. Now she's fighting for control and her life along with her friends, and her heart is begging for something that might never be. The tension between Danaus & Mira is accelerating, as they struggle to find a center for themselves. Mira has more under her belt than usual, and it's only just begun.

I loved Wait for Dusk. It's full of action with a powerful punch. With a cover full of heat! I've gave 5 stars for everyone book in this series, and this book was no different. Do you love Vampires? Me: Check. Urban fantasy? Me: Check. Romance? Me: Check. and plenty of action? Me: Check. Then go down to the book store, right now, and pick this series up. You will NOT regret it!

Awesome review! I loved this one too! So glad there wasn't a cliffhanger like in Pray for Dawn. That one was just cruel! :)
