Review: Pleasure of a Dark Prince

Pleasure of a Dark Prince by Kresley Cole
Pleasure of a Dark Prince
by Kresley Cole

My rating:

Frigging Amazing! Why did it have to end?!

Lucia the Huntress: as mysterious as she is exquisite, she harbors secrets that threaten to destroy her—and those she loves.
Garreth MacRieve, Prince of the Lykae: the brutal Highland warrior who burns to finally claim this maddeningly sensual creature as his own.

My Thoughts:
Another one for the shelves!

Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series is one hell of a series. Honestly, I haven't read a book from this series that I wouldn't recommend to others, and this one isn't any different.

I was excited to read Lucia's story. She was known as the emotionless archer from the previous books. She's the best in the world and never misses a target.. To miss a target, means the horrible pain, that lasts on for a few days. What we didn't know was how horrible and sad her past was. Her story was very enjoyable to read.
I was dying to read of Lucia's happiness, but wow-wee what a toughie this one was. I felt bad for Garreth for most of this book. If Lucia doesn't want to be caught, she won't be, and for Garreth the time finding her was easier then winning her over once he had her.

Garrett, the Prince of the Lykae is a fun *coughs* hot *coughs* character to read. Lykae are known to be the most fierce of the immortals, and although he was indeed fierce he seemed more desperate and protective most of this book. What I loved, was his soft, humorous side. If I was stranded on a boat -correct that- "ship", then I would be happy to be stranded with him. I also enjoyed the other characters on the shop. I thought they added some great scenes for the books.

Did I mention Garreth was extremely good looking? I did! Oh! All of the main characters from this series are. Immortals, gotta love em!

As a stand alone novel," Pleasures of a Dark Prince" rocked! It had so much more action, horror and suspense than the others combined. It felt more Urban Fantasy then Paranormal Romance, but it's main theme was mostly for the couple to get together, even with evil Gods threaten to cause a apocalypse!
