Guest Post with Jackie from Housewife Blues and Chihuahua stories

Pets, they are more than just animals to me!

First have to say thanks to Tasha for inviting me to be a guest on her blog. I love to come by and get my cover fixes every week as there is always something new to find to read on one of Tasha's posts!
{Darn TBR shelves are falling down from the weight thank you very much!}
Today I would like to share my passion for my little pets. I have 3 furbabies who along with my books, my blog, my husband, my Mom and my housework keep me pretty busy!
My first and foremost favorite of our four legged terrors is my 11 year old Chihuahua..
His name is Nikima, we call him Nikki as too hard to keep explaining that he was named after the spider monkey that was in  Tarzan the Apeman, everyone of course remembers Cheetah but no one remembers Nikima from the books....
Nikki is a "Mama's Boy" and everyday since brought him home at 4 months of age he has been my constant companion and best bud! Now with heart problems and old age creeping up he has slowed down some but is still full of doggy kisses for the asking!

The "Queen" of the house is my 7 year old Tabby named "Munequa" which is Spanish for "Doll".. We lived in Laredo Texas for quite a while and over on the other side in Nuevo Laredo they sold puppets and called them "Munequa's" so the name stuck in my head... Munequa's favorite thing is to find a place to lay in the sun or hide in my kitchen pantry, think it is a toss-up which one is her absolute favorite! Of course when we got her at 6 weeks old she was a "Doll", so tiny her teeth were almost non-exsistent!
Rescued and adopted from a local shelter Munequa was Daddy's "little girl" at 6 weeks, now she is the terror of the household at close to 13 pounds!
If Munequa is the "Queen" than my Tom Cat "Blade" is the undisputed "King"!
As you can see he likes to hang out in my bookshelves and he also likes to help with the Laundry!
Nikki is my buddy, Munequa is the mastermind of hiding in strange places, Blade is my sweetheart.. My "cuddle cat" who loves one-on-one time with Mom... When he strayed up to our home 5 years ago as a wet and scared baby kitten no one in the surrounding neighborhoods would claim him... I am glad they did not, every day he makes me laugh and smile with his silliness and funny antics... Of course when he climbs to the top of the entertainment center and looks down on all of us he thinks he is the "King of the Castle"!
It has been my pleasure and my joy to share my little furry friends with you today... Animals give us more than we ever ask for and sometimes exactly what we need ! Unconditional love from a four legged friend is something very precious and I have always had a pet since I was a child, do not know what I would ever do without them to hug and laugh at!

Thanks again Tasha for having me stop by today, it was fun!

AAWWEE! Your fury babies are all so precious. You are right there is nothing like unconditional love from your four legged friends.

Cats are so funny, I have a couple of cats who love to hide in my cabnets and on top of everything and if there is a box anywhere they will get in it like they are hiding, it is so funny. Anyway, you have a beautiful family there.

Your babies are ADORABLE!! All those little furry kisses and loving :)I know what you mean about them being so precious and I bet they know just how lucky they are to have you. Thanks for sharing Jackie!

Awwww look at your babies! I have to say my furbabies attempt to be very helpful with the laundry as well, as soon as I put a pair of socks in the basket, they take them and relocate them somewhere else. Then they come back and take the next pair until I have to wander all over the house looking for socks:)

Love seeing other people's four-legged family members!

Your babies are adorable! I have two cats that are very spoiled and have very different personalities. One is a princess and I am put on this earth only to serve her (according to her) the other one likes to be my lap buddy(especially when I am on the computer!)
