Interview with Allison Pang author of A Brush Of Darkness

Welcome Allison! Thanks for stopping by!!

So it's now Spring, and I'm loving it. Even if it doesn't feel too great yet. Are you excited that it's
finally Spring?

Oh yeah – I love being able to get back into sandals. J

First off, can you tell a little about "A Brush Of Darkness" for those who haven't read it yet?

It’s the story of Abby Sinclair, who is pretty much a normal girl,

essentially tossed into this mystical world that overlaps our own. Everything she does has political repercussions, but directions are hard to come by and she finds herself struggling to figure out how to
manage. When her Faery boss goes missing, Abby is forced to try to find her, joined by a perverted unicorn and a sexy incubus, who may or may not be setting her up.

I knew this was going to be a good read, but I didn't realize how much of a good read it would be. Was the feed back as much or more than you hoped for?

I was actually pretty surprised at how good it has been. Not that there haven’t been people who didn’t like it, but overall the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. (Something
I’m very grateful for.)

Anyone who reads my blog knows I'm a sucker for good cover art. Your cover art was beautiful. After seeing it, I HAD to read it, no matter the storyline. Can you tell me who your cover designer is?

The cover artist is Nathalia Suellen. Although I had no input in the cover art per se, I can say that Nathelie is an extremely talented artist.

Abby Sinclair is a unique character, to say the least. A new favorite of mine for sure. Do you and her
have much in common? minus the unicorn in your clothes. ;)

Actually…yes. All of my characters are various reflections of me, but Abby and I do share a fair amount in common. Although I was never a dancer or anything like that, I do know what it is like to have physical limitations that impact your life on a daily basis. (Although certainly not the extreme that Abby does. ) We also both love bacon. ;-)

Like so many others, I'm begging to know when the next Abby Sinclair novel is going to be released. Have you started writing it already, or are you taking a break before the next novel. *crosses fingers for another release asap*

Heh. I’m actually writing the third book and working on revisions for the second. My understanding is that both will be out next year, in March and October, respectively.

I recently came across Vlog interviews and was wondering what your thoughts are on them. Would you be willing to do a vlog interview in the future, or are they something you'd rather skip?

I’ve never done one, but I’ll admit I’m not real comfortable in front of a camera. I’ll never say never, but it’s probably not very high on my list.

Random question:

Do you have any hidden talents?

Hmmm. I can put my legs behind my head?

Again, thanks for stopping by. You rock!
