My Fair Succubi by Jill Myles
Frigging Amazing! Why did it have to end?!
IT SUCKS TO BE HER.
Living as a succubus has a bit of a learning curve, but with sexy fallen angel Noah to scratch her sensual Itch, Jackie Brighton is finally starting to feel ahead of the game. She almost doesn’t miss her gorgeous vampire master Zane—or his sinful, teasing mouth. She’s trying to convince herself of that, anyway.
But Jackie’s past mistakes catch up with her, spinning her life out of control once more. Just as her friend Remy’s inner demon comes out to play, Noah and Jackie are arrested by the angelic Serim Council. When Jackie seizes the chance to escape, she falls right into Zane’s waiting arms. As she’s pulled into a game of cat and mouse between vampires and angels, she finds she must also choose between the two men in her life. Can she decide between Noah and Zane, or will she lose everything she’s ever wanted? Because there’s more at stake than just her heart. . . .
'My Fair Succubi' is the third in the Succubus series by Jill Myles. She also wrote two short stories for the series, so I'll say it's book 5.
First off, aren't the cover's for this series just beautiful? This is my favorite cover of the series, although the first cover is scrumptious.
If you have yet to read the previous Succubus Diaries novels, I suggest you read my review for the first novel, 'Gentlemen Prefer Succubi'.
Although this novel is about more that Jackie's love life, that's one of my favorite parts. She has to choose between her maker, the the fallen angel turned vampire bad boy and Noah, her co-maker fallen angel, who may be good, but can be extremely "bad".;)
I can honestly say this book made me extremely happy! I won't say, because that would be giving major spoilers, but let's just say that the choice she made can let me live until book three's release a very happy woman.
The thing I first liked about the series was that although she's now a sexy goddess, where men fawn all over her, she doesn't take it for granted..actually, she doesn't like it at all. She tries hard NOT to draw attention to herself, but it's hard not to look at her.
"My waist was amazing, too, curving in more than I’d thoughtpossible. I was shocked I even had a waist. I blinked and poked the mirror, wondering if it was a trick of the light. When I passed my hand in front of it several mes and it looked normal, I began examining the rest of my body with delight. The face was the first to hit scruny. It didn’t look that different, except a bit more sensual. My brows were perfect, my lips full and pink, and my eyes were a striking shade of silver. My hair looked like something out of a Pantene commercial, shiny, bright red, and bouncing in thick waves across my shoulders. I turned and let my sweatpants fall to my ankles.Holy crap, I had an ass."How could she NOT get looks? lol But she's humble and likable. I really enjoyed her character.
As a series, I'm hooked. I really don't want to wait another year for the next novel, but like always, we will have to. My advice for anyone who hasn't read this series is: Pick it up now! You shan't regret it! Yup, I said shan't. ;)
