Historical Romance Event- Guest Post with Jackie (Sorry it's a bit late!)

Welcome Jackie! Thanks for stopping by!

My love of all things Highlander began years ago when in the early 90's I read a little 800 page book by author Diana Gabaldon called Outlander and fell head over heels in "lust" with James Fraser... After the first book it was a love affair that has lasted for 18 years as the books in the series have all been read as soon as they released.
I never thought there would be another author who could capture my heart with her characters the same way again until reading my first book written by Paula when I opened up "Lord of Temptation" and then worked my way through to her current release "Tamed by A Highlander".
To be able to share these passionate stories about the rugged Highlander men and the women who love them is a joy that cannot be expressed in mere words. I hope that you take these books home with you whether you enjoy digital or Mass Market paperback you will find buy links for both Amazon and Barnes&Noble below.
To sum up the books will stay on my shelves right alongside those written by Diana Gabaldon, these two ladies have my heart wrapped around their characters little fingers!

Book 1 “Lord Of Desire”-2005 release, Book 2 “Lord Of Temptation”-2006 release, Book 3 “Lord Of Seduction”-2006 release
Book 1 “Laird of The Mist”-2007 release, Book 2 “A Highlander Never Surrenders-2008 release

Book 1 “Ravished By A Highlander”-2010 release, Book 2 “Seduced By A Highlander”-2010 release, Book 3 “Tamed By A Highlander”-2011 release

Your welcome Jackie!! I hate that I had to get to work before I could post you post.. but I will be sure to spread the word on it now! :)

I don't think I've read any novels by Paula Quinn, but her Highlander novels sound awesome! I'll be picking some up soon. :)

Thanks for the invite today Jackie! I found this awesome blog and now get to follow more new friends. I cannot help myself, while currently I am reading a lot of UF and PM, I always love to revisit the joy of a good historical and when we get those Scots hotties taking charge and winning the day and the girl - it makes my fingers itch to read more. This was a fun post and I appreciate the sharing of these lovely titles.

Natasha my date consisted of supper at Chili's and then going to Lowes and getting $500 worth of lumber to build shelves in our outside storage building. Then go to Home Depot to pick up an exhaust fan to replace the one that burned out in our bathroom. Now home and catching up on drop ins.

Denise the UF and PNR's are great but I have been on a kick lately to revisit my Romance roots with "humans" that have no paranormal powers and no fangs or claws. Thanks for coming buy and hope you try Paula's books.

Jenny yes it boggles my mind how long it has been since Diana came out with the very first book in her Outlander series. She introduced me to the joys of the Highlander romance character but my love did not stop with books. I also am hooked on any movie or TV show that features Scottish characters, the countryside in Scotland and the Highland accents.

PK you and I do not need to fight we can share Jamie like we do Damon.

Hi Jackie, I'm so honored and humbled by your words and sentiments. I'm so happy you've enjoyed my books. It's ladies like you who I think about while writing. Thank you again for always taking the time to give my work a thumbs up. It means a lot to me :)

Paula I have to again thank you, without me stumbling across your book giveaway on Twitter one day years ago and winning the first few I may never have started reading Historical Romance regularly again. Now that I have your entire set of releases am eager to see what you have in store once Colin gets his story. It truly has been a long while since such passionate characters have gotten me enthralled in their lives and the MacGregors, the Grants and the Stuarts have all captured my heart.

Melissa (Books and Things) said...

Oh I can see several of these books I would love. Plus, having them next to Diana G's books... okay, you convinced me. I need to read her writing!

jackie b central texas said...

Melissa thanks for stopping by and hope you do check out the books as yes you do need to see for yourself why they have become some of my favorites in my keeper shelf!
