Current Reading Mood: Urban Fantasy
Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Is it just me? Or, do you also dislike this?

3701480296_e8b550eb09.jpg (500×333)Is it just me, or do you also dislike it when e-book chapters have previews? Let me explain. Sometimes I'll read an e-book and at the start of the novel, it shows each chapter and the first line in that chapter. So, if I'm scrolling down and happen to read the last chapters first line, I could get more than I bargained for.
I once clicked through and accidentally read the starting line of the last chapter, which said something along the lines of.. After John Smith died, we went to his funeral. No joke! It actually gave away a major detail I didn't want to know starting chapter one. *sighs*
Now, I'm not trying to bad mouth the writer, editor or publisher, I just don't like knowing what's coming up in future chapters until I arrive there. I will try to not look once I realize that chapter one has a preview line, but I can't bet on it. I have the oddest luck.

Anyways, back to my book. I just thought I'd share my little frustration with you all. Still, much love for all those authors and I will read on. A little sneaky peeky won't stop me! :)
