Great to be here!
First off, I want to ask you what your plans are for the holidays?
I’m having my brother, sister-in-law, their twins, my parents, and three friends over for Thanksgiving dinner. How’s that for crazy?
I'm super excited to post my review of To Wed a Wild Lord. Gabriel was a favorite of mine from the start of the series. I couldn't wait to read his story. How would you describe Gabriel? He’s a daredevil and an adrenaline junkie, but mostly because he’s afraid to face his greatest fear. And the reader will have to read the book to find out what that is!
How many novels are planned for the "Hellions" series?
Five, one for each sibling. However, I am doing a book for Virginia’s cousin, who first shows up in this book. It’s a Christmas book that comes out next fall.
*Yay*
I know this will be a hard one, but of all your novels, which couple turned out to be your favorite to write?
That is hard, because I like them all for different reasons. I don’t think I can choose a favorite, sorry!
I love all your series, but my favorite is your "Royal Brotherhood series". Viscount Draker is one of my favorite male characters from any Historical series. Where did you get the inspiration for his character?
Believe it or not, my husband. Hubby is a big curmudgeon. He doesn’t like people, he doesn’t like going out in “society” (i.e., to parties), and he loves me to death. I really see a lot of my husband in Draker, although I didn’t when I was writing him. Later, I looked back and went, “Oh, geez, it’s my husband.”
Natasha: Wow! Your pretty lucky:P
Have you ever re-read one of your novels?
All the time, for various reasons. Sometimes it’s just to remind myself of how I handled something, and sometimes I just want to relive this or that scene. I get as caught up in writing them as readers do in reading them.
What are you currently reading?
Victoria Alexander’s His Mistress by Christmas. Hey, I like holiday books!
Natasha: I love them too! I'm going to check this out one asap!
Besides reading and writing, what's your favorite past time activity?
Doing jigsaw puzzles. Nothing relaxes me more. And they do a double duty, because I use the time to plot! Oh, and I also LOVE spider solitaire. I wish I didn’t—I’m addicted.
Do you have a weakness that would ruin your day if it was held out on you? E.g. Chocolate, soda, coffee.
Well, gee, you guessed two of them—coffee (specifically hot Jamaican Me Crazy and iced Starbucks coffee) and chocolate. Also, spider solitaire.
Tell me something about yourself. Maybe a favorite quote? Anything at all!
I love listening to Celtic music, especially Celtic fusion. My favorite group right now is Enter the Haggis. I’m a huge fan, although since I’ve never been to one of their concerts, I don’t think I qualify as a Haggis Head. Maybe one day! But I have approximately 1200 Celtic songs/pieces on my iTunes (and all of ETH’s albums). I kid you not.
Thank you so much for stopping by Sabrina! You rock!

I always thought you were a great person and a terrific writer, Sabrina but now it's a sealed deal. You are a lover of Celtic music and Enter the Haggis! It's no wonder I'm a fan!
Can't wait for Gabriel's story. I'm all caught up on my Hellions now and I wouldn't mind reading Gabe's story ahead of time, lol.
I have to agree with you on Royal Brotherhood but then I have been reading Sabrina Jefferies for a long time. However my absolute favorite by her is under her Deborah Martin alias... By Love Unveiled even to this day.. Silver Deceptions was good but well the characters in BLU has remained with me from my teen years until now! It's about one of the oldest books in my collection (along with my Johanna
Grrr, Never heard of them but I REALLY love Omnia (their sound is really unique), Capercaille, Clannad (love their earlier stuff), Enya, Song or two by Eimear Quinn, and Cruachan
I love you Ms. Jeffries and I am currently reading this series. I am on How to Woo a Reluctant Lady as I type this. I have been trying to go through all of your books and will not rest until I read each one. You and Eloise James are my fav 2 historical romance authors. Yes, there are others that I thoroughly enjoy, but I was introduced to this genre with a book from the both of you and I have never looked back since. I am looking forward to whatever you have to offer in the future.
By far your books capture the moments we love
I cant wait to get my hands on your book!Sadly I have to wait until I finish with finals so I can be able to read it nice and slow so I wont miss anything!
Great interview, it was wonderful finding out more about Sabrina after reading so many of her books. I haven't had a chance to pick up a copy of To Wed A Wild Lord yet and I'd love to win the ARC.
Sabrina, I had never heard of spider solitaire before so I'll have to go to Google to find out what it is. I love playing solitaire after dinner when I want to relax after a hard day of work and can't find out what spider solitaire is!
Terrific interview. And I'm going to check out ETH. I like Celtic music and don't have nearly enough.
great interview
I didn't realize this was a series so I'll be trying to get the others first to read before reading this one!
hope I win
I've been reading your books for ages and loving them. Can't imagine not having one in my TBR pile at all times.
Thank you for the great interview. I love your books and can't wait to read this one too!
Thanks for the interview. Looking forward to this book. Never heard of Enter the Haggis but I'll have to check them out.
Love, love, love the Hellions of Hallsted Hall. can't wait to see who they all end up with and the great mystery of their parents' deaths!
I haven't tried anything by Sabrina Jefferies yet, but I plan to fix that shortly! Thanks for the giveaway.
I can't wait to start reading this book! It sounds marvelous!
Am never let down when reading one of Ms. Jeffries' books. I know this will be another great read. Enjoyed the interview. Thanks. :)
Santa, Enter the Haggis is GREAT!!! I love all their albums.
Raonaid, I'm so delighted that you enjoyed By Love Unveiled. I'm actually revising it now so that Pocket can reissue it in 2013! And I love Capercaillie, Clannad, and Enya, too!
Shan, thanks so much!
Jeanne M, spider solitaire uses several decks and has a little different rules. You should start with one suit, because it's really complicated. But once you master that, it gets easier.
Cory, they're what's called Celtic Fusion--my favorite genre of music!
Lisa, that's so sweet!
patriciawf, so glad you're enjoying the series!
And thanks to all of you for checking in. Sorry I was late with responding. I've got so much going on these days that I lost track!
Sabrina,
I forgot to mention how much I enjoy your books. I must admit that historical romance is my favorite genre and I love books that are a series. I also like stand alone books that have characters from other books appear even in a minor role and when one of my favorite "minor characters" later emerges with his own book!
My husband is a history addict reading "straight" history books as well as historical fiction. Ironically he'll often ask me about certain times in history that I've read about in my romance books and at other times will suggest I read one of the books he's just finished so we can "compare" notes on how we perceived from previoulsy read books how we felt the book progressed. We were fortunate enough to travel to England and Scotland several years ago when I earned a free vacation from the company I worked for. He was amazed at several places I suggested we visit that weren't in the "normal" travel guide and several of those sites are now listed in "our favorite places to visit" when friends are planning a trip there.
The first book I ever read by Sabrina was Don't Bargain with the Devil and I really enjoyed it. As a reader, I re-read books for the same reason you do. I love re-living moments with the characters. Sometimes even if a book is a keeper I don't realize just how much I love it until I read it again. Or sometimes I see the story in a different and even better way. I am looking forward to reading your latest.
I knew there was a reason I felt connected to you, Sabrina - I LOVE celtic music too!! And I absolutely love your books, and would consider myself very, very lucky if I won this giveaway! Thanks for the awesome interview and giveaway:)
What a great interview! I really enjoy it, Sabrina and Natasha ^^
I do have a weakness for chocolate, coffee (hot and black, please ^^) and guess what? yesss!! Spider Solitaire! I can't believe you have the same addiction with me, oh dong forget freecell. haha..
A Dangerous Love was my first met with you. I love the story, especially Rosalind and Griff part. Of course, i read your book printed in Indonesia ^^
Thank you for the giveaway!
Regards,
Kristiana
