Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Top Ten Tuesday - December 27th, 2011

This is my first try at Top Ten Tuesdays, but I read the rules and thought I'd give it a try! Especially after reading this week's top 10 theme!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun!

This week is...

Top 10 Books of 2011!

I was going to do this post myself yesterday. I'm now glad I waited so I can do it in this meme instead.
I will have to have a few honorable mentions because I can't just choose 10 novels from one year. It's so hard to even choose 20!
I'm not sure if this means top ten that were published in 2011, or that I read in 2011. I'm going to go with published, so it will narrow it down a bit for me. :)
Okay, in no particular order!

By far one of the most brilliantly emotional authors I've ever read. Always a fantastic read!

I'm kind of cheating, but both are from the same series and both were published in 2011, so I'm going with both. Hard Bitten was better, but they were both amazing. Such a fantastic series.

Again, I'm cheating, but both are from the same series.. so... ;P
I don't think I've come across a person who didn't like Kim Harrison's Hollow series. I'm glad too, because it's one of my favorite series ever. Kim Harrison is always a good read.

I love this paranormal YA series. I think it runs along side of Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy for it's YA greatness.  I can't wait for Bloodrose this January!

Sabrina Jeffries is always a winner. Such an amazing author!

I like to call Ann and myself internet buddies. She's an amazing author and a wonderful person! I love all of Ann's novels. I'm always in for a good read when I pick up her books!

This new series is now one of my favorites. I'm BEGGING for the next book in the series!

I can't say enojugh good things about Diana Rowland. She's fairly new, but she started out with a bang! I love her work!

Has Richelle Mead ever written a bad book? I don't think so.

A newer fantastic series. I'm really into this one!!!

Is that 10 already?? Poop! The rest were just as good, but I had no room! Sorry.. so here's the other few novels I loved from this year!!

Mona List Eclipsing by SUNNY
Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost
Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning
Green-Eyed Demon by Sabina Kane
Halyway Hexed by Kimberly Frost
Notorious Pleasures by Elizabeth Hoyt
Viper Moon by Lee Roland
Dark Moon Lilith by Misty Evans
Dark Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
How to Seduce a Scoundrel by Vicky Dreiling

There were more I loved, but I really shouldn't go on anymore! hehe
