Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Do you use GFC? Google+ or RSS?

Lately there's much talk on the immense fallout of GFC on blogs. It's said that it will be gone from non blogger blogs in March of this year. I'm very disappointed with the fact that I won't be able to easily access my favorite blogs from my blog roll through my dashboard. I do check the emails from blogs that I have subscribed to, but not as often as I scroll through the latest entries in my dashboard.

Another somewhat pointless, yet oddly comforting feature I enjoyed, is knowing how many of you guys follow me. You may not always check out my posts, but you have and may again in the future, and that encourages me to post more. *shrugs* That's just how I feel.

Anyway, even though it is only going for non bloggers blogs, I feel Google has yet another thing up there sleeves. Don't get me wrong, I love Google, but lately GFC just isn't the same. Half the time it doesn't even work and for giveaways that clearly state you have to follow, this can be a big hassle.

That being said, there could be some good that comes out of GFC shutting down. We have a new feature, (Google+) where you can get updates just the same and you can expand your horizon and be open to new followers. I encourage everyone to use Google+ as a interactive site to follow your friends, favorite blogs and anyone who interests you. You get to see meet others through each-others circles, as you did with GFC's list. And although GFC is not being removed from bloggers blogs just yet, we can't really think it will stick around forever. Google is doing Spring cleaning, out with the old and in with the new. Best get with the times, which is why I have now posted a Google+ follow button on my right bar.

For all you followers who still don't feel the Google+ change, following me by subscribing is also welcome. We'll cross our fingers for GFC, but let's not hold our breaths!

Its my understanding that while GFC will be gone, Google Reader will still work. That's what I'm sticking with. :)

Yeah, Google Reader will still be good, but I'll miss GFC. *shrugs* Thanks for stopping by!
