Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Follow Friday! - April (Friday) 13th, 2012

Follow My Book Blog Friday is hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View and Alison at Alison Can Read. The point is to follow as many book blog as you can and make new friends! As part of the adventure, she gives a weekly question.

Here's the questions for this week:
What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaptation of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

Hrmm..I think Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R Ward might be one I'd be weary to see on the screen. I would love to see it how I've imagined it, but I just can't see it being what I hope for. Zsadist is a complex character that would be very hard to duplicate. Although, any man who can, I HIGHLY welcome them to do so. ;)

The Hollows series is another I'd love to see, but think they couldn't get it right. Al and Jenks are characters I'd hate to see done wrong. That goes for Rachel too. I have a perceived notion of her in my brain and I like it the way it is. But still, I've love to see it done.

Oh, and Laurell K. Hamilton's novels had buzz that they'd be making a series or movie(s)(Although, I have no idea..) and when I first heard, I was ecstatic. Then I stopped to think of Jean-Claude. How could anyone play the role of Jean-Clause. The face of an angel. And what about Asher. He was supposed to be as beautiful/more beautiful than Jean-Claude before the burning. A whole cast of beautiful men, acting with attitudes that seem impossible...it's be hard. Although again, welcome.

There are many more novels I'd be weary about being turned into movies, but I'll still check out the efforts. :)

What about you??

Sounds like a cool series :)

Great choices and I totally agree with you that it would be hard to pick the right people to portray all the main and secondary characters.

Enjoy your weekend!

I agree about the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. A movie could never make it HOTT enough :)
