Review: A Werewolf in Manhattan by Vicki Lewis Thompson

A Werewolf in Manhattan (Wild About You #1) A Werewolf in Manhattan by Vicki Lewis Thompson

My rating Just shy of 3 & 1/2

Synopsis:
Emma Gavin writes about werewolves, but that doesn't mean she believes in them-not until a pack of real-life New York weres decide to investigate the striking accuracy of her "fiction".

When Aiden Wallace, son and heir of the pack leader, tries to sniff out Emma's potential informant, he discovers something even more dangerous- an undeniable attraction to her.

Review:
'A Werewolf in Manhattan' is the first instalment in the Wild About You series by Vicki Lewis Thompson. I've only read one novel from VLT before, which was a cute, fast read. This novel turned out the same.

The characters were fun and easy to like. Emma, was smart and funny and stuck to her guns. Aiden, was the real package. Handsome, smart, wealthy and loyal. I loved his character. Oh, I almost forgot... He's a werewolf. The heir of the pack leader. No big deal if I forget the main thing, right? *laughs*

The only thing that got a bit annoying was towards the end, when Emma fought for her ability to keep writing werewolf novels. I agree with her, to a point. I just think she stood her ground maybe...too much. *shrugs* It got repetitive.

That being said, it was a fun, light, steamy read. I finished it in under a few hours and went on to the next in the series. I felt as if I was in a reading rut, but this book helped me get back into the grove easy.

I recommend this novel if you want a past paced, light romance. You won't be disappointed.
