Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf: Guest Post & Giveaway

No Redeeming Qualities
First, thanks so much for allowing me to visit today. I always enjoy meeting new writing-friends! Writing book three in the erotic paranormal series The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf, proved to be quite the adventure in itself. Over the course of the last year and a half, I’ve gotten to know my cast of characters quite well. One question that readers continued to ask was: Who is Lily’s father.

Well, we get to meet Dr. Charles Black in A Threesome Wedding Adventure, and let me tell you: I didn’t like him!

Good ol’ Chuckie is one of those characters that should have stayed in the shadows. I complained to many a writing friend about how I was waiting for his “redeeming qualities” to surface. That comment may seem odd. As the writer, I should be the one in charge, right? Well, not always. Sometimes, no matter how much I want something to happen, it also has to be natural for their character. I won’t give off any more spoilers about what happens. Just know that he’s dark.

During the writing process, Joyce from my local RWA chapter, wrote me about coincidences in naming. I came across a similar situation with the name of Lily’s father. After book 1, when people asked me who Lily’s father was, the answer really was: “I don’t know.” While I know way more about the “world” my characters live in, and aspects of their lives that haven’t been shared, her father remained elusive. It wasn’t until book 3 that he decided to surface, and Lily’s pregnancy may be a key cause.

So he became Dr. Charles Black, with the nickname of Chuck. While doing research, guess what I found? The Voodoo History Museum (http://www.voodoomuseum.com/), and the founder’s first name was Charles. Is that coincidence a bit creepy or what? It’s not the first time a connection such as that has happened while writing about Voodoo. Thankfully, what I have planned for book 4, The Wolfe Pack, leaves the ancient rituals behind.

What do you think of such coincidences? It’s difficult for me not to be superstitious. Doesn’t it seem like it’s almost meant to be?

The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf: A Threesome Wedding Adventure

Planning a wedding can be stressful and crazy-making.  Planning three weddings at the same time? That’s insanity. While The Vampire, The Witch & The Werewolf embark on a nuptial excursion, Silver & Nick hold down the home fortress in New Orleans.

And as if everyone doesn’t have enough to deal with, the Voodoo King comes calling with a magic elixir that diminishes sexual inhibitions and an eerie quiet spreads across the French Quarter. Life as they know it may never be the same.

The threesome is forced to put off honeymoon bliss in order to banish the demons of their past, and embrace the uncertainty of the future.

Available via Ravenous Romance, Amazon and other eRetailers.

Until next time,
