Current Reading Mood: Urban Fantasy
Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Ahem..Is anybody there? Back on track and, a miracle?

Hi guys!

Remember Me? I know, I know. I'm sorry for being M.I.A for the past month or so. I know I've posted a few times throughout that time, but I haven't been giving it my 100% for a few months now. On a personal note: In a nutshell... My Grandmother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. First off, I'm extremely close with my family, especially my Mom and Grandmother. After we received the news, I haven't been giving my 100% to much of anything. It's been pretty hard on everyone.
My Grandmother was due for a biopsy this past week. Our nerves were shot! The prep time is always the worst. Waiting can drive a person crazy. Anyway, She went into her catscan before the biopsy and received the shock of her life. One of her two tumours was gone. Zip. She only has half of one tumour left! Without any chemical treatments, she was practically healed. It really feels like a miracle. I'm ecstatic and so grateful! I can't begin to describe my joy and relief! She will be with us for a time longer. *smiles*
So, with that stress lifted, I'm down to only a few minor things that have been keeping me from reading/blogging, like I'd love to. Work is one. We all work, but lately when I get home, I'm cleaning for the holidays. (four cats, a man and myself make it pretty hard to keep a house spotless for visitors.) I've been catching up with friends, family and well, resting. I've also started to workout at least 4 times a week and started to prepare to do my house over...so, I've had a lot on my mind as of late. I know I've gotten into my personal life more than usual, but this is also for me. A wake up to get back on track with reading and blogging and for you all to know not to loose hope when things get tough. Sometime life just throws us a curve ball and we have to figure out a way to catch it.

That being said, I'm starting Forged by Becky Banks tonight, which has to be reviewed for my tour spot on the 23rd of November. Then I will be reading J.T Geissinger's Edge of Oblivion, Misty Evan's Sweet Chaos and Karen Chance's Fury's Kiss. I hope to have them all read/reviewed within two weeks. Normally, you guys know I read pretty quickly..hours for a book, but again..life:P So, I'll be happy with just two a week. For now. ;)

I'll leave you with a few photos of my crazy, adorable kitties

Waiting is the worst time, Natasha. I'm so glad things are working out for your grandmother. What a relief.
