Quote of the day: “I’d have been dead a long time ago if not for my friends, one of whom had just jumped off the cliff after me.
I’d have been a lot more appreciative if he hadn’t pushed me first." Cassandra Palmer ― Hunt the Moon by Karen Chance

Interview & 2 Giveaways with Betty Carlton

Spring is just about here. I'm so excited! What are your plans for this season?
Since, it's still winter here to stay warm. I hate the cold. Which doesn't make sense that I love snow.  I'll thaw in the warmth of the Spring sun. There is nothing planned other than to get outside to enjoy it.

How old were you when you decided you wanted to write & publish a novel?
You had to ask this right? I 'd loved to be able to say since I could hold a blue crayon. But alas, sixty-one.

Can you tell us a little about your writing process?
The only routine I have is to sit in front of the computer every day. If I can stay away from the latest Facebook game that suckered me in I can write. However, if the characters have busy extraordinarily busy nothing can stop the words from coming. Which is a good time. (I guess) I like it totally quiet, so nothing distracts me from listening to the echoes in my head.

Your newest release, ZEKE KINCAID'S WOMAN, (released November 2012) is part of a series, yes? Will there be more Kincaid novels?
Yes, it is part of a series.  It was not planned out that way. But when I finished 'Mine Alone' the first book about the Kincaid men there were two more men demanding their story be told. I thought I was finished with the family until a conversatio9n with a fan through email and poof Zeke popped up. Knowing how controlling the Kincaid men are I had no peace until I told his story.

As far as a future book with the Kincaid's I have none. But, we know who has the last say there, apparently not me.

Out of all your characters you've created, who has been the most memorable? (Always comes back into your thoughts, even after you're finished writing)
I think Zeke Kincaid, because he figured out you can demand and force submission. However, when someone who is gives you that kind of submission willing it's invaluable as well as gratifying.

Who are some of your favorite authors? (new & old)
Catherine Cookson, Johanna Lindsey, Cassie Edwards,Kathleen Woodiwiss. I sure not who anyone would expect.

Are you currently working on another project?
At the moment all is quiet. But then 'tomorrow is another day.'
